Space station live cam - unknown snake-like object captured by UK amateur enthusiast:
(please scroll down page for more)
Is this merely a piece of debris? or is it something truly unknown?
The reason we raise this question, is that as we all
probably know, occasionally the ISS dump bathroom waste etc out into
space; but to think that such a huge object could be from their toilets
is quite hilarious; of course what was captured could possibly be a
piece of junk from something else, as there's certainly enough rubbish
floating about in space from the various missions; but here's the
problem with such an idea... out of the 9 sequential shots that were
taken while watching the live cam on January 17th, 2017, this object
was only visible in a few of them; the unknown appeared to change shape
and then travel into the distance out of view, at great speed!
As regulars here will be aware, this isn't the first time something like this has been captured in space by a BEAMS member while keeping an eye on the ISS cams.
Also, similar gigantic, aerial snakes have been recorded down here on Earth as well - in our skies.
