I was returning from an errand to the shops for my mum when a friend 
called Timothy Greenhalgh came running to me from a bridge that led 
over an old abandoned railway line onto Leverhulme Park in Bolton. 

He said there was a UFO and beckoned me to follow him. 

We both stood on the bridge, and hovering above us - maybe 50-100ft 
up, was a metallic silver/grey triangular craft. It was elongated like an 
isosceles triangle or pyramid lying on its side. 

I can recall thinking "wow I've seen a UFO".
 
I ran home to tell my mum who gave me the typical adult response - 
don't be silly! So I ran back, but by then it had gone, yet there was a 
vapour trail in the sky heading northwards over Affetside, away from 
roughly where we had seen it. 

No one has ever believed me, but it was there as clear as day!
 
I was maybe 9 or ten at the time. 

I have tried to find Tim Greenhalgh and found someone with his name 
on Facebook in Bolton. 

He clearly doesn't use FB as he has not replied to my message about 
this, but interestingly his profile picture is of a UFO!! 

I could draw a sketch if required.
