picked our son up from work in Bolnhurst to come home and we were
heading towards the A6. I had noticed 2 orange lights in the sky which
looked like lights on the tips of a planes wing so they were
horizontal, the right light was brighter than the left and they were
low in the sky, we carried on when I noticed that the lights were now
vertical. As we were travelling along it didn't seem like they were moving very much if at all. As it was odd I kept trying to watch them. When we got to Thurleigh Road they were ahead of us slightly to the left. We turned right out onto the Thurleigh Road and within moments I said to my son it's turned into a triangle of 3 close together, orange lights. We kept watching and as we approached a small roundabout on the A6 they were nearer. We went around the roundabout and on to the A6 towards Northampton A45. The triangle of orange lights was now to our left and they then seemed to separate and all went overhead slowly. There was no sound, apart from our car. I couldn't see anything then for a while but a little while later I thought I saw them to my right and they were then flashing like a plane but there didn't seem to be any sound when they went over us, maybe due to road and vehicle noise. It was a bit frightening as the main part of the sighting we were alone on the road..........I tried to take some pics on my phone but the flash was working and in my panic I couldn't switch it off in time to try without. I could do a sketch but it would be basic. |
