Blue and Red, Disc-Shaped Aerial Object Captured Over Aldershot (Near Farnborough), Hampshire, UK

Today, 15/09/2016 myself and Hilary went on the Hogs Back (along the A31 road) and conducted a skywatch there.

Weather conditions began as sunny, but the sky gradually became slightly hazy later into our vigil.

We were positioned parked at the rear of the Esso petrol station, where they have a rather nice garden that affords some interesting views looking out over Aldershot and beyond.

The Hogs Back is ancient, since its raised position offered travellers a vantage point and also kept them above the thick ancient woodland of the valleys on either side. It was part of the ancient ridgeway which runs from Wiltshire down to the east coast of Kent.

We didn't notice anything unusual in the sky with our eyes, but nevertheless, we photographed this rather unusual, disc-shaped aerial object around 1:30pm, (at quite a distance), using a technique known as 'sky fishing'; the taking of random photos based on intuition.

This was the only picture that captured anything worthwhile:

Camera used was an Olympus SP-620UZ: The lens was clean and the unidentified object did not show up on any of the other 50 or so shots taken.

On close inspection you will notice that there seems to be a red colour issuing, from what is presumably the rear of the unidentified.

As regular readers will know, this isn't the first time there has been UFO activity over the Hogs Back/Aldershot and Farnborough regions... and the Hogs Back is one of the best areas to visit for those keen on searching the sky for unidentified flying objects.
