On a short break to Cumbria, 22-26 May, have photographed skies in which there are, on closer inspection, inexplicable oblong bluish-grey objects.
One seen, walking out from the town of Grasmere on 24 May 2017, appeared to have blister-like structures at one end of the oblong object.
The last of these structures had a twisted form to it.
Perhaps some freak high-flying cloud? A similar object was seen over Coniston a day later, around 2.15 p.m. I only noticed these when uploaded to computer after holiday.
Observed
from Coniston, 25 May 2017, at 2.15 p.m. You see it
here in relation to the lake. The following one is a detail of it.

The Coniston ufo detail. As with the other at Grasmere, oblong. There
was another over Windermere, 25 May around 12.52 p.m., waiting for the
ferry.
2. Detail.
I have to say, I never looked for such objects,
they caught my attention only when uploading holiday photos. I use a
digital camera. If it were a mark on the lens, then I'd see the same
throughout.
Uncropped photos will show you just how tiny these objects are.
Attached. I think they are a great distance off - hard to tell how far
- thousands or more feet up at a guess. We had predominantly clear
skies for three days.
Attached, the first one, taken walking out from the town of Grasmere,
towards hills (on the main road).

Here is the uncropped photo of the Grasmere sighting, 24 May 2017. I
had to be back to the car by 2.45 and this would have been taken
between 2.00 and 2.30.

My camera was unfortunately not set correctly for month, day, and
hour. I've corrected it now - just getting used to a newish camera. So
if you can see January and a time in the early morning, that is wrong.
The photo was taken at Grasmere on 24 May 2017 at 2.18 p.m.
I have made a further pen sketch of the object seen in the photo taken
outside centre of Grasmere, Cumbria, 24 May 2017 at 2.18 p.m.
I just zoomed in on the object and was surprised to find that it
appears to be quite a complex structure. I could make out a hollow
cylindrical outer "shell" and inside that and protruding out of one
end, and inner structure with apparently a lattice-pattern following
its twisting contours.
I am attaching scan showing a drawing of the object I inadvertently
photographed in hilly scene.
Object detail blown up
and darkened
No
doubt the pixels are distorting the image but it remains an
intriguing object.
