I was at home, quite tired after a long day at work. My parents were at 
home, also. It was hot, so the door was open, and my mum went to 
look in the garden, then she said she had seen something. 

So, me and my dad went to look. It was a glowing purple light, at first 
it looked to be sedentary but then started to move. 

As it flew over the three of us, the lights began to flash on and off three 
times. It continued onwards, before descending about 20 feet above the 
ground. It then flew side ways, past a row of houses, and that was the 
last we saw of it. 

It was quite hard to make out a distinct shape, at a push I would say 
that it was a sphere. 

Now, obviously it could have been something perfectly normal, like a 
drone... but, it made no sound, and drones are loud and easy to identify. 

Unfortunately I didn't have my phone on me at the time, so I'm afraid I 
have no pictures. 

Definitely in the top 10 of strange things I've seen.
