Pulsating Tube-Shaped UFO Over Feltham, London, UK

Stationary object at high altitude above Heathrow. 

Visually unaided, it looked like a pulsing star, then with binoculars, 
it was tube in shape with reddish tips, maybe reflecting the sun 
as it pulsed very brightly. 

Also seemed to disappear then reappear over a period of ten minutes; 
and it did move south then west within that time. Did think it may have 
been some sort of balloon, but being stationary then moving in two 
different directions not so sure. 

High and medium altitude aircraft were overhead during this period.
