There was a bright light that travelled from east to west for a duration 
of about 5 secs and then disappeared. 

From my view point in Gorse Hill it looked to be over the Shaw Ridge 
area. 

It was very bright and sort of circular in shape. 

At first I thought it was a shooting star but it was too low for that.
