Message: I had parked up in the Chatsworth Square area in Carlisle and was 
photographing the cloud formations above the square through my 
car windscreen.  I took one photo of the cloud and another two photos 
of some seagulls on the rooftops. I immediately looked at my camera 
screen to see how the pics had turned out and to delete any duds.  

On the first picture I noticed a dark cigar shaped object very high up in 
the sky:  I did not spot this at the time with the naked eye.  

I looked up to the sky again and could not see anything;  my first thought was that it 
was a helicopter, but it was flying very high, although remaining under the cloud.  

Some friends of mine who are drone enthusiasts and have flown remote 
control helicopters say it looks like a blimp.  I have no way of knowing if any blimps 
were in the area at the time although I can't rule out this possibility.  

If it is a chopper then there are no rotor blades visible.  

Thought I would report it and see what you make of it.
