Background: "I was taking short videos with the Nikon P900 in the vicinity of the lighthouse at South bay, Scarborough, at 5.02 p.m. on 28 September 2017. The subject of the 52-second video were two high-flying jets whose contrails approached each other in opposite but parallel directions.
They were so far off the planes were invisible but the contrails could be seen forming.
At 41 seconds into the video, a very fast object "flew" past at less than a second. The paused frames of it show it changing shape.
The camera was attached to tripod so vibration reduction was off (as directed by the manual). I was filming using shutter priority and the shutter speed was 1,640. Frame rate: 59 fps. Focal length, 4.5., iso 100, aperture 2.9. Picture, Fine, and pixel size as large as they can be for video (which is much less than the max pixel size for photographs). The sharpness should have been set to vivid to capture more detail (it was set to normal), and I think the shutter speed
should have been at the maximum, which is 1,4000. I shall try those settings next time.
The frames of this object start with it looking a bit like an R2-D2 shape from the first Star Wars epic film. But this shape, though it persisted for one more frame, soon changed into a variety of different forms as it sped on its mystery flight. I attach the first one and others will follow. The structure of it is domed, cylindrical, with what appear to be apertures or openings. It doesn't look like a bird, a plane, or someone's kite, or any insect. It looks like nothing I've seen before, although I have filmed form-changing, fast-flying objects before on video.
This UFO is very high up, but in reality, I don't think it is actually near the jet contrails, which are thousands of feet up.
Yes the frames are very faint, but the unidentified flying object itself is rather interesting and maybe of scientific importance."
