On going to bed, opened the curtains and looked at the stars as it was 
a very clear night. I saw what I thought to be a plane, but it didn't move. 

I was hard to judge its height or distance, it was showing at least four 
lights which were vertical and pulsing red-yellow- white-green. 

I watched it for about 5 minutes, it did not move. 

I went out into the garden for a better view, and looked at it through a 
telescope. but couldn't hold it steady enough as it was so cold. 

I went back inside watching it for a further ten minutes, then went to 
bed. It was still in the same place on doing so. 

PS: It did appear to have a shape of some kind but couldn't tell for sure 
what that was.
