30/08/16 Silent Triangle Craft Seen Over Hambledon Road, Waterlooville, Hants, UK
(8 miles north of Portsmouth)
Witness statement:
"Last night I witnessed something I have never seen before pass by my house from west to east at roughly 10.00pm (Bank holiday Monday 30/08/16). I was having a cigarette at the side of the house & saw a black triangle with three lights underneath it lasted about 10 seconds, travelling what seemed like following the main road.
I would say it was between 100-200 feet up & about the length of an articulated lorry but fairly flat perfectly triangular in shape. It was most defiantly NOT a plane, helicopter or drone 100%!!
There was absolutely no noise whatsoever & the lights underneath were not what caught my eye, it was the shape against a not so dark night sky that caught my attention. As it passed in front of me I saw the three lights underneath that were not flashing but were evenly placed in their position.
The lights were dull but clearly visible. It passed as a low red light turning a white orange as it went away towards the east.
My wife who has no interest whatsoever in the night sky also witnessed it which means I wasn't imagining it!!. I went online afterwards & was flabbergasted to see this is not unusual, so this is why am contacting yourselves to see if there were any reported sightings last night?? or you could may be explain this??
I don't think reporting this to the police would be right as they would probably think I'm a crank!!"
