31-12-2009: Flying Saucer Over Broadstone, Dorset, UK

Witness statement: "Life for me has totally changed since the day of my encounter: it is everyday in my head and weighs heavy on my mind.

As I said to Nick Pope, anyone is welcome if they wish to polygraph me; I really don’t need to make a name for myself, so why would I create such a story?

It all happened on December 31, 2009, at 2 am in the sky over Broadstone.

There were very low clouds on that early morning, maybe 3 to 4 hundred yards-high following a very cold and frosty night. As I was watching television in the bedroom, I was suddenly redirected to look out of the window at an unusual light that was approaching in the sky.

More than a light, it was a sort of beam, about 1 to 2 mile away, but slowly coming towards my house: This beam was intense, but looked like it was shining only half way down to the ground.

It was strange to me, as it was below the clouds, which would have been a bit unusual for an aircraft approaching Bournemouth airport, but there were no flashing lights like any standard plane has.

I don't know why, but something told me to pay more attention to it even though at the time, my logic was trying to convince me that this was simply an airplane.

I looked at my clock, it was 2 am; I jumped out of my bed, opened the window and looked out, but all of a sudden the beam of light went off when it was about only 500 yards away; when the object reached about 200 yards from the building, and was above some nearby trees, all became clear.

Thanks to the street lights, I could see everything in detail about this object; I could hear something as well; the noise that it was making was nothing like any airplane or helicopter… it was like a gentle hovering noise: It was a big and very strange craft, about 120 feet wide; I could even make out what looked like portholes around it’s middle, and a kind of metal mash with very fine grills…and under this craft were some small lights.

Just as it was passing over the roof, I could see very clearly the shape and details… the metal, the lights, the way it was flying. I was just speechless and shocked. I was sober that morning, neither was I dreaming.

I didn’t have a camera but I drew a picture of it.

Next day, some other people said that they had also seen a strange object over the sea in Boscombe, and there was another sighting also, apparently of the same craft, in the Midlands.

I also had another sighting about 22 years ago just above the field opposite Badbury Rings. At the time, the object was just stationary, between two low clouds, with a green pulsing flashing light. It was there for about 5 seconds, then it just shot straight up and was gone.

I reported it to the police next day.

This encounter in Broadstone is much, much closer then the one in Badbury rings 22 years ago.

It has left me drained of mental energy, and in a way it has devastated me…not because I am afraid, but because everything that I have studied in the way of religion etc, does not mean much to me anymore since this sighting. "
