Greatham,
Hants, UK - One Sunday, Early November, 2005
Like many times before we had to drive back to Farnborough, Hants, after having visited my mother who lives in Emsworth.
It had been pouring with rain all
day, and the weather stayed the same right into the evening.
Whilst
on our journey, (at around 8pm) we decided to take a slight
detour from our normal route to try and find a possible short
cut to get home quicker in these dreadful conditions.
We turned off the main road and into
the tiny village of Greatham, Hants.
As
we passed slowly through there and almost reaching the turning which
would take us out onto the A325, we were astounded to suddenly see a
big, black animal, (possibly a puma, of large
stature) nonchalantly walking in the middle of the road at this
far end of Greatham... not looking at all wet and seemingly not bothered
about the heavy rain.
The creature had green, (glowing?)
eyes, and we slowed down further to avoid colliding with it.
When we glanced back we
couldn't see the animal anymore.
We couldn't stop talking about the
experience for days afterwards.
