Message: Hi, after seeing a strange light
in the sky I decided to so some research and found you.
My Girlfriend and I have seen lights
similar to it before but not moving, just seeming to hang in the sky.
I am a private pilot myself and have
never seen anything like it.
I
have seen the light today (30/5/10) at around 22:50. The light was
moving steadily across the sky in Buckhurst Hill.
It looked like a large, orange ball of fire, moved with steady and good speed and made absolutely no noise, however was very close to us so could not have been an aircraft or helicopter.

The
light was fairly large and showed no other navigation lights or
commercial identifiers of any kind. I could not gauge exactly how high
the light was but it could not have been particularly high (less than
5,000 feet in my estimation).
I'm not saying this was aliens at all but
I could not identify the light object, and I used to teach aircraft
recognition.
Maybe a new technology we don't know
about??? Any thoughts on what this could be or have you had similar
reports before?
