Crop of Strange Object Snapped on Ancient burial mound, Petersfield, Hants - UK 10/07/2015
As I was exploring some of the 20 Bronze Age burial mounds located on Petersfield Heath, July 10, 2015 - and taking many random images there in the process - not only did I capture the unidentified 'ghost' plane-like object mentioned in our UFO reports section, but also what I think is an even wierder object, pictured here.
I should point out that the picture was taken standing back at a distance, not on top of the mound as with the 'ghost plane' capture.

I have had this image looked at by a couple of researchers and I am assured that this is most unlikely to be a simple lens flare.
'The spatial distribution of the lens flare typically manifests as several starbursts, rings, or circles in a row across the image or view. Lens flare patterns typically spread widely across the scene and change location with the camera's movement relative to light sources'. The shape of the object that I have captured is all wrong for it to be such an optical artifact; neither is it merely light shining through the trees or a bug.
As with the 'ghost' plane, I didn't notice anything unusual at the time of taking the image, this was only meant to be a scenic shot; so once again, the object remains an enigma.
