Witness Gordon Dungavel saw a giant triangular outline fly over the Priory Marina, Barkers Lane, Bedford, Bedfordshire, October 2006, and fortunately as he had a camera with him, he managed to capture this extraordinary photograph of the phenomenon.
The mysterious white illuminations flew together in a constant elongated triangular pattern, and out of view.
Gordon didn't know what to make of what he saw, but they were definitely not Chinese lanterns as the lights were stable, did not flicker or wobble, and remained in a perfect, tight, unchanging formation.
With hindsight, he speculates there is a remote possibility that this may have been the 'Aurora', a secret prototype of America's next generation long range strike bomber (LSRB) - although he found it strange that the 'object' only moved slowly, had no visible structure and emitted no sound either.
Thinking along those lines, might this have
been some kind of craft that was 'cloaked', making it
virtually invisible to prying eyes and (enemy) radar?
