26-08-2007: Sighting at Bulbarrow Hill,
Dorset, UK
I think my head is going to burst it's all so exciting.
We live by Bulbarrow Hill in Dorset, and on Sunday the 26th August, six of us were sitting outside, and at 10.00 to 10.30 we were looking for Mars as it is close at the moment, the moon was nearly full and the sky was so clear. As we live in the country we have no street lights. My eldest, Tully, pointed to a red light thinking it was Mars, and when we watched it we realised it was moving very slowly; it was the same shape as the one on your video, a large, red light, with no flashing like regular aircraft... then another came along behind it .
The first one went off to one side and hovered, whilst the other one stopped; it suddenly built up in its intensity and burst out with extra light... it then looked like it poured out orange molten metal, which I think was just a light beam but looked really weird... the Orb/Aircraft started to go down the light, slow and steady.
We thought, if it is a plane, that we were going to hear a mighty explosion; we ran into the house to go up into the attic to get a better view.
It seemed to hover behind some trees... we could just about see the orange glow; it then started to rise straight up the same path that it followed down... got to the top of its original position... slowly went to where the other one was... the first one just disappeared... (didn't go off into the distance, just disappeared), the second one then went to the same spot and it disappeared; but that's not the end of the story !!!!
Being totally obsessed now with UFOs we are out every night... torch... binoculars... camera at the ready... not forgetting a stash of lemon bon bons!
My partner Terry was out watching the skies when he spotted this light just above our house, so he called for me: This was like a light that looked as if someone was shining a torch in the sky, and you could see the reflection of it on a cloud, (it was fairly cloudy), but this was a long, slightly curved, thick, pale light... not round like a torch light: It was coming out from the other side of the cloud. As there was no beam from earth up to it, (I have no neighbours by the way), and like I said, there no street lights, so you can easily see if someone had a torch.
Terry had been watching it for about an hour, and the light would go from side-to-side as if scanning... it went from side to side... then would stop, disappear then come back to do the same thing; it would sometimes go lower on the horizon... and sometimes go straight over to the right in a long line... then back over the house: I felt really quite scared.
We have seen the red orbs once more fly over the same area and then go off, but with no extra light pouring out, and no decline to the ground. Last night we went out and saw nothing and I was beginning to think they have gone back home, but since reading the other reports, they might still be here.
My kids were a bit freaked out by this: My eldest is spookily sensitive and can pick things up. He feels something is about to happen... and we all go off on the Monster attack mode in our imaginations... but we seem to be being gently introduced to something UFO-ish here... so I'm back out there tonight.
