24-10-2018 Report: Long, Dark, Slow Moving UFO w. Purple Lights Penrith, Cumbria

I was traveling South on M6 approx 8pm. Full moon to S. East, but partial clouds. 

Saw slow moving object traveling East right above motorway. 

Thought at first it was a jet plane and that perhaps it was about to crash as it 
traveled so slow and low. It was only a few hundred feet above me. 

The object was dark - no visible lights from side. 

It was backbit by the moon to provide a sleek slender shape. 

Guessed it was about 8 to 10 m long and narrow; no sound at all. 

The object then stopped  N. East of motorway . 

Saw at least two purple lights underneath when it stopped. 

It was asymmetrical in shape - discounting a drone. 

It was traveling v slow - probably about 20 to 30 mph, so it was clearly in my sight 
for a few seconds. 

I was traveling about 60mph. 

Road conditions very good . 

Dry with not much traffic.
