Accidental Snap Cigar/Triangle UFO Over Cheadle, G. Manchester, UK
Witness Statement
Me, my daughter and another child were parked up in a car waiting for a family member.
My daughter said how pretty the sky was as the sun was setting; it was clear with a few clouds and a lovely pink glow. We sat for a good 10 mins watching; we didn’t see any aircraft, balloons or anything out of the ordinary in the sky.
My daughter decided to take a picture at 17:11; when she looked at it a split second later she questioned 'what is that black thing?' as we were unable to see any object with the naked eye, yet it had showed up on the photo she had taken.
It puzzled us all, as the sky was clear, dry, but cold and no wind or noise.

BEAMS Comment: This is a very interesting picture and a real puzzler.
We really like this shot, and would like to think that it is what it appears to be... a lucky capture of cigar-shaped, (or maybe even triangular... side-on) UFO with a light at either end; in our books, that is a strong possibility.
Yet, just to show all sides of the argument as it were, we must also ask - is this truly an unidentified object hovering/flying in the sky as we believe? (perhaps only temporarily visible to the camera due to it moving multi dimensionally) or is it in fact, some kind of natural, atmospheric aberration?
Come to that, could this even be just an incredible optical illusion involving light and shade?
What do you, the reader, think it is?
