UFO, frisbee, drone, weather balloon or dirt on the camera lens?

19-04-2019: Black Oval UFO Above Highcliff, Guisborough, North-East UK
+ Another Capture Discovered From Same Area in 2005 - Videoed!

[Please scroll right down this page for much more!]

This picture captured from the top of a Guisborough landmark has got residents in the market town talking after it was posted on to social media.

The flying saucer shaped spectacle was caught on camera by a Facebook user on an evening stroll just as dusk descended at the top of Highcliff in the hills above the town recently.

"Anyone have any idea what the object in the sky appears to be? ALIENS?!" said the post to the Guisborough News and Views website.

Social media users were quick to offer their views.

"Whatever it is it is breaking the law by not having it's lights on, shoot it down."

More posters suggested aliens, UFOs, ET coming back and someone throwing a frisbee off the top of the rocky landmark.

"Someone throwing frisbees off the top?" said one.

The more practical out there, though, offered a few likely answers.

Dirt on the camera lens, said one. A weather balloon said another. Still more reckoned the strange shaped object would probably be a drone capturing footage of the area.

What do you think dear reader? Does this UFO really look like a drone, a balloon or a dirty lens to you? ...we don't think so either.

Now take a look at this object that was actually videoed over the same area back in 2005.

15-08-2005: UFO estimated by witness to be "20-30 Feet in size":
Certainly not a balloon!

Witness description:

"Saw this from my doorstep at home and took a photo then filmed it with my Sony hi-8 80x digital camcorder from my bedroom window, it was gloss black and when it caught the sun it was quite a powerful glare from it."
