Halstead, North East Essex, 22nd September, 2007, U.K.
Time: 5:30am
Height: Around 30,000 feet
I first saw the unidentified object at 5.30 a.m., over the fields from my home.
It was in the east gradually working it's way southeasterly, and had the appearance of a a bright white star-like type of object, though much bigger than a star.
At first I thought that it may have been a passenger jet, until an airliner actually flew near the ufo when I could hear that the plane sounded very loud, not at all like this unexplained object which appeared to be completely silent, and an awful lot larger than the aeroplane itself.
The object flew with small jerky movements, then hovered completely still for
long periods.
I watched as it would get very bright,
and then rays would
suddenly began to shine out from its
luminosity, before almost going into a
pinprick of light,
then it would begin to get very bright again.
This went on for at least an hour before I had to stop watching in the end from eyeache and tiredness.
